3 Cases or Hematological abnormalities in Down's syndrome

Abstract
|
|
|
Many infants and Children with Down's syndrome showed prominent disturbances
in hematopoiesis and they suffer from increased incidence of acute leukemia, myeloid
leukemoid reactions, erythrocytosis, thrombocytosis and chronic leukemia and so on.
The estimate incidence of congenital leukemia in Down's syndrome is 3 to 61 times
that of the general population.
Authors experienced three cases of Down's syndrome complicated with congenital
leukemia, myclofibrosis and transient leukemoid reaction, respectively.
The purpose of the present report is to extend the spectrum of hematologic
aberrations which complicate Down's syndrome.
